the legendary CARRY NATION 7" - 4 tracks of hard hitting S.E.H.C.! in their days there was no S.E. band as brutal as them! this is considered a classic and I still love it after all the years!

A SCANDI CLASSIC!
another request from my partner in crime as far as zines are concerned was TERVEET KÄDET´s THE HORSE 12"! well, I don´t have the 12" but I have the re-release as a 7" on ALTERNATIVE ACTION RECORDS which may or may not be the same people that run a NAZI record label at least that is what was spread in the scene somewhen in the 90ies!AARON`S BACK! PRAISE Mr. BURGHER FOR THIS!
PAINDRIVER have Aaron Ulcer the guy who sang for ULCER on vocals! but this is not the only reason why this 12" is good! this is one of the most brilliant records to ever be released! top notch blistering, angry, HARDCORE and lyrics filled with despair and hate make this outstanding! and when I say despair and hate I mean real despair and real hate and not the hollow shit all your poserbands sing about!

REDNECK THRASH
a 10 song 7" that´s called VIOLENCE SOLVES SOME THINGS by a band that´s called BRODY`S MILITIA and claims to play REDNECK THRASH released on a label named GET THE AXE... this has to be good!LÄMMERHERDE
STAGNATION´S END were another great German band! a little bit S.E.H.C., a little bit CRUST, a little bit METAL, a little bit San Diego sound and you got a cocktail that you don´t find anyday!
UNRUH IS CRUCIFIXION
this is straight, hard hitting METAL! one song by UNRUH and one song by CREATION IS CRUCIFIXION and both tracks kill! just the recording could be better as for this kind of music a decent recording is of utmost importance. the recordings of both bands are decent enough to make the record still rageing but with better sound it would lift it up to another level! expect 12"es of both bands to be posted on this blog soon!

BOOGIE DOWN!
as DIAVOLO ROSSO had/has former members of you-know-who in it´s ranks there was quite a little bit of hype about ´em back in their demo days! hype or not, their demo was a bomb [no, as some fuckhead stole mine I can´t post the demo] and when on stage they killed! if you compare this 7" to the demo, the 7" is disapointing! the 7" is not bad, it´s a good 7" but after the demo it just didn´t live up to, at least my, expectations! but believe me you consider this 7" brilliant if you listen to their tracks on the split with Y! well, to make it short give it a try it´s a good 7" that reminds me on GENOCIDE SS somehow in it´s best moments! b.t.w. their 12" is cool to!E R A S E R !
this is pretty much what there is to say about WATCHMAKER
Round three for Boston's favorite improv-grinders, still as harsh and venomous as ever... This one's apparently their swan song, so that's a bit of a bummer, as I do enjoy what they do, but I can see how it would be exhausting, to say the least... As an experience, it's hard to fault this record, as it acheives its goal of being the most violent barrage of spiteful hatred that I've heard since the last Watchmaker album, but given the improvisational nature of the recordings, the fact that each of these songs is written on the spot in the studio, there really aren't any fully-fleshed out "songs" here, so it's easy to get turned off by the fact that what this is, more than anything, is just relentless pounding on the ears and the soul, a metaphor perhaps for life itself, the neverending pressures of everyday, the constant attacks on the percept system to do this, do that, buy this, the daily routine that simultaneously supports and destroys us... Or to use a more succint, more commonplace term, the 'grind'...

THIS 12" IS DA BOMB! slow to midtempo brutality from scottish SCATHA that rools over you like a tank! when I saw SCATHA live their singer wore self sewn sheepskin (?) clothes and left the impression of being a real maniac! this 12" is like a concept 12" that spins round gaellic culture [part of the lyrics is sung in gaellic] and mankind´s interaction with nature! essentiel!NO WAR BUT CRUST WAR!
DEPRIVED was another Portland/Or. band that had the usual suspects within it´s ranks! this 7" was recorded Februar 1991 and now guess what musical style they play? bass isplayed by a young man called kelly that you might have heared of?

to be honest: the first 2 songs on this 7" are everything worth a listening ACCION MUTANTE have ever released! anything else of this band bores me to death! period!DISCONNECTED

seems like everybody knows CRISIS OF FAITH from the IN CRUST WE TRUST bootleg on lost&fuck records but nobody seems to know the 7" which was released on RAGGAMUFFIN SOLDIER rec. [brilliant name for releasing CRUST´n´HARDCORE records!] ? as the 7" reads >THIS WILL NEVER BE RELEASED ON CD EVER< on the backcover I guess CRISIS OF FAITH are one of the lucky bands that found out about their record deal with L&F by finding their records released on cd in every fucking store they never wanted their records to be! back to this 7" which has 7 tracks of brutal, blistering CRUST/HARDCORE with vocals that sound as if nails and razorblades for breakfast are not unknown to the throat that belongs to those vocals! one of the best canadian bands ever!LICHT + LUFT + LEBEN
the 1st LEBENSREFORM 7": manic HARDCORE / FASTCORE / POWER VIOLENCE / NORTHCORE / WHATEVER... one of the best bands that germany had to offer! if you saw this band live consider yourself lucky as you´ve seen one of the best livebands ever! lead by tall, hooknosed Gonzo [who did the HORIZONS zine] LEBENSREFORM destroyed everything standing in their way!

ORHEES / RADIO ALICE split 7"...4 tracks from each band! I didn´t know RADIO ALICE before and I can´t get into their sound which is kind of noisy, artsy, whatever... but VOORHEES which haven´t disapointed me that often are no let down here! THRASH as THRASH can!
SUCKASS
the ULCER songs have been posted before as they are on the discography but the 4 FAILURE FACE tracks take no hostages either and so this split 7" is still worth to be posted!HERE LIES THE FUTURE!
with the HAYMAKER / FUCKED UP split 7" the discography of one of the most negative
and nihilistic HARDCORE bands of all times should be nearly complete! the demo and the live 7" are missing but you can get those here! on this split 7" you get 5 HAYMAKER tracks of which 2, IN HOME SURVEILLANCE and NO ONE ASKED ME already appeared on other releases! there are no lyrics from both bands but to straighten that out Adolf Hitler is on the cover! I guess some people have now a new reason to hate HAYMAKER. on the tracklist on the cover song #2 and song #3 of the FUCKED UP side are called DOVE OF WOOD but song #3 is called RED!YEAH, THE SPIRIT OF MASSDESTRUCTION

WARCAMPAIGN
THE "legendary" NASUM / WARHATE CAMPAIGN split 7" that was released on RELAPSE REC. as #041 in the RELAPSE SINGLE SERIES with 4 tracks of top notch GRINDCORE from each band! in times of GRIND FINALE the NASUM tracks are easy to get but then you´d still miss the WARHATE songs which you would regret! these 4 NASUM tracks were the bonustracks on the NIPPON edition of HUMAN 2.0 a.k.a. HUMAN 2.01!
