DOWN THE DRAIN! (the 2nd)

CONNIPTION´s brilliant 7" was re-upped and is waiting to be downloaded! this time ripped with 320 kbits and scans of all artwork! highly recommended!

...AND HAMMER DOWN

with this split 7" the entire CONNIPTION discography should be up here! well, as CONNIPTION´s discography just contains a 7", this split 7" and a split 7" with SCAPEGRACE that wasn´t so much work to do! though, I just can´t get into neither HALF MAN on this 7" nor into SCAPEGRACE on the other! the CONNIPTION songs on this split 7" are the weakest stuff they released in my book! could have something to do with the fact that these tracks were recorded before Devon took over the mic. one song that appears here was later re-recorded for their 7" and when you compare both versions of the song you won´t need that long to figure out that Devon does a better job on the mic!

PERVERSE CREATION

SCAPEGRACE are not my cup of coffee! a little SCREAMO, a little noise, a little looped feedback and some METAL... as their lyrics are hard to read I´ve to guess the songtitles. could be: crumbs of crumbs and smokescreen... maybe they do something for you, but I´m sorry to say they don´t do anything for me except that they bore me! the reason why you should dowload this no matter how boring you might find SCAPEGRACE is: CONNIPTION as they are GRINDCORE at it´s best! Devon, who played bass in MONSTER X and now plays in DROP DEAD, handles the bass and the vocals for CONNIPTION which might give you a hint of what to expect!

DOWN THE DRAIN!

CONNIPTION was the band that had Devon, who besides being a really nice guy also played bass for MONSTER X (I treasure the MONSTER X shirt he gave me as a present till today and lost count on how many people asked me if´d sell that shirt) and now is in DROP DEAD, on bass/vocals! you guessed it, this is furious, fast HARDCORE played by people who know how to handle their instruments! combined with the lyrics, that mainly cover how fucked up everything related to mankind is and one of the sickest cover artworks I´ve seen till know, this 7" becomes a real rager!!!!
