MORE THAN JUST ALIVE!

this little gem was one of the records that I tried to track down since ages but never succeeded until a short time ago I finally got my hands on a copy of GORDON SOLIE MOTHERFUCKERS' CHAIRSHOT POLITICS 7"! as soon as it surfaced here one of the first things to do of course was to rip it so I could post it here. in case you aren't familiar with GORDON SOLIE MOTHERFUCKERS let me tell you that they were from Cleveland/Ohio and that Tony Erba who had sworn to never do vocals in another HARDCORE band again after he had left FACE VALUE took over vocal duties in GORDON SOLIE MOTHERFUCKERS nevertheless! they were active from 1998 to 2000 and shared members with 9 SHOCKS TERROR, actually GSMF had been supposed to be just a project band "with a goofy wrestling theme" in the beginning but developed into a great band that released this 7" in 1998 and a 10" called POWER BOMB ANTHEMS in 2000 on 625 THRASH. other lyrical themes besides wrestling include: the scene, cops and conspiracy therories! that's the reason why lyrical gold like: "DISCHARGE said 'it's no TV sketch' - you're goddamn right, it's life or death! / Vatican and Masons are at the root, William Cooper spoke the truth!" comes with their sloppy but violent and raging HARDCORE which is fucking awesome if you ask me! click the cover to download! pw: mean 

POWER BOMB ANTHEMS

yesterday I was chatting with Ivan who runs FUCK YOGA! REC.and I asked him what the most embarrassing record in his collection would be and announced WARZONE's 1st 12" as the most embarrassing in mine (cause I traded their 3rd 12" years ago which is the most embarrassing HARDCORE record EVER!) but thinking about it I should have said FACE VALUE's THE PRICE OF MATURITY 12". what has that to do with GORDON SOLIE MOTHERFUCKERS' brilliant 10" which is called POWER BOMB ANTHEMS VOL. I and was released by 625 THRASH you might ask? well, it also features Tony Erba on vocals (whom they forgot to mention on the inlay!) but here you get 12 fast, pissed off smash hits and not some of the most boring S.E. music ever released as in case of the FACE VALUE 12". one of my favorite 625 releases!
