I just got KUNGFU RICK's STATUES TO STONES, SOLDIERS TO BONES 8 track 7" which was released by GLOOM REC. in 2001 and rips as expected! they've put a lot of hard work in these 8 tracks just as their name, which means something like "hard working Rick" (Kung Fu = hard work), suggests. my copy of the little rager came on white vinyl but unfortunately without any inserts therefore I'd highly appreciate if anybody could e-mail me scans of the inserts! click the cover to download. password = mean.
there was an ULTIMATE WARRIORS post on BUDDHA KAHN recently including 
the cry for more stuff from them. so here you go: this is their split 7" with KUNG FU RICK, who stray a little bit from their path. just one rather long and slow song from them! it's the weakest stuff I've heard from them so far. on the flipside ULTIMATE WARRIORS rip through 8 tracks of highspeed HARDCORE with wrestling lyrics! my copy came in ugly mintgreen vinyl! I'm sorry to say that but KUNG FU RICK loose this match!
this 7" was my introduction to both bands and won me over with ease! KUNG FU RICK was one of the best GRINDCORE bands to ever exist and BAD ACID TRIP are nearly as good as KUNG FU RICK on this little gem here that has 4 KUNG FU RICK tracks and an outro and 6 grenades from BAD ACID TRIP! the only negative thing I can say about this record, which is a split 7" and a split release from 2 different labels (BLATHERSKYTE NOISE and WAR ON WANKERS) at the same time, is that both label names are printed on the cover! I know it´s pretty common nowadays but that shit has ruined the beauty of more than one cover! why can´t they be printed inside?
ladies & gentlemen: KUNGFU RICK once again! don´t know if this is their 1st 7" as there is another 7" that´s called STATUES TO STONES SOLDIERS TO BONES now how´s that for a title? if you don´t know this band: they play fast HARDCORE on the verge to GRINDCORE here and there with 2 singers and most important - they are great at what they do!
7000 DYING RATS have a wacked-out grindcore sound that is not only heavily influenced by the projects of legendary saxophonist JOHN ZORN, but there's also a huge homage to metal, even if it seems like they're making a parody of it. despite their tributes, there's not one ounce of seriousness that comprises 7000 DYING RATS
out of the ashes of KUNG-FU RICK came HEWHOCORRUPTS and carry on where those stopped!
bought one of their 12"es cause I had read somewhere that KUNG FU RICK has 4 singers and was blown away by them! one of the most underrated bands in hc/grindcore!
