to the rule of thumb that compilation 7"es have to suck would be the PROTOTYPE comp. on CLEAN PLATE which features DISDAIN, DEFAULT, APT. 213, ULCER, UNSETTLED & LACERATION, ok, DEFAULT aren't my cup of coffee but the rest of the bands, especially the mighty ULCER, rip shit up! click the cover to download!
even tough the music is great the APARMENT 213 / BENÜMB split 7" leaves a s
our taste somehow. why? both bands offer 3 songs and while both bands don´t bother to print their lyrics BENÜMB don´t even care to give you the song titles! I would´ve prefered the lyrics over orange wax in on which this 7" was pressed! (as the BENÜMB tracks also appear on the SOUL OF THE MARTYR CD I know the titles and have tagged the tracks)
a compilation that consists of 3 7"es featuring: 16, APARTMENT 213, CAVITY, DAMAD, DEVOID OF FAITH, ENEMY SOIL, FLOOR, FORK, LA GRITONA, SLUGHOG, SPAZZ, SUPPRESSION, THUG, etc. for my taste there´s way to much SLUDGE on this compilation and that there are no lyrics is another point to criticize! I mainly ripped it so I can delete the files of the SLUDGE bands and enjoy the sweet sound of the POWER VIOLENCE bands!
Mitchel provided me with rips of FORCED EXPRESSION´s 7" and their split 7"es with AVULISON and APARTMENT 213. I´ve those 7"es myself and had them on my to do list as well but as I´m a lazy ass I´ll use Mitchel´s rips. FORCED EXPRESSION had Daryl of CITIZENS ARREST on voclas and guitar. if you expect HARDCORE like CITIZENS ARREST you are wrong! FORCED EXPRESSION are way rawer and more along the lines of GRIND than CITIZENS ARREST were! a great band in it´s own right!
