ANOTHER EXCEPTION

to the rule of thumb that compilation 7"es have to suck would be the PROTOTYPE comp. on CLEAN PLATE which features DISDAIN, DEFAULT, APT. 213, ULCER, UNSETTLED & LACERATION, ok, DEFAULT aren't my cup of coffee but the rest of the bands, especially the mighty ULCER, rip shit up! click the cover to download!

AUDIO ESPIONAGE SUCKS!

this 8" compilation that was released on AX/CTION rec. nearly completely sucks! GONKULATOR, MALICIOUS HATE, DISJOIN, PSYCHO, BOBBY, DECEASED and BASTARD NOISE play either bad METAL or NOISE and/or their recordings have such a bad quality that you won´t listen to them very often! now you´ll ask: if it sucks that much why did you buy and/or post it anyway? I´ll tell you: cause there´s one more band on this compilation and that´s ULCER with 2 songs that are just on this 8" and were even excluded from their discography cd which is a shame as ULCER on this comp. rip as much as they always do!

after so much DEUTSCHPUNK my ears needed a heavy dose of noise and what would suite the need better than ULCER and CAPITALI$T CASUALTIES? I know that the ULCER tracks have already been posted as they appear on their incomplete discography but as they are good and you´d miss the CAPITALI$T CASUALTIES tracks by don´t haveing this split 7" but just the cd.

AARON`S BACK! PRAISE Mr. BURGHER FOR THIS!

PAINDRIVER have Aaron Ulcer the guy who sang for ULCER on vocals! but this is not the only reason why this 12" is good! this is one of the most brilliant records to ever be released! top notch blistering, angry, HARDCORE and lyrics filled with despair and hate make this outstanding! and when I say despair and hate I mean real despair and real hate and not the hollow shit all your poserbands sing about!

THE INCOMPLETE DISCOGRAPHY

ULCER once again one of the best bands that have ever existed! at least in my book! this CD claims to be the complete discography and has the tracks from the 2 split 7"es with FAILURE FACE and CAPITALI$T CASUALTIES, the 10 songs from their 7" on FETUS Rec. in 1995, the songs from the INDIGNATION 12" released by BOVINE Rec. in1998 and a complete live set but the 2 tracks from the AUDIO ESPIONAGE 8" comp. are missing! it seems to be a rule of thumb that the "complete discography" of a HARDCORE band has to have songs missing and is only released on fucking CD! in ULCER's case I couldn't care less as I got everything on vinyl but as I just xeroxed the artwork of the CD I ripped for this post you might notice that the quality of the scans isn't A+! this Cd was also released by BOVINE Rec. and re-issued by S.O.A. Rec. for Europe. the cover on top (click it for the artwork) is the cover of the "BOVINE-version" the small on the right side is the cover of the re-issue. music-wise ULCER were more than just music (at least for me) they were hate transformed to music! fierce, angry, aggressive HARDCORE played at breakneck speed! their singer Aaron went on to STRAIGHT TO HELL and PAINDRIVER after ULCER broke up!
