...PAIN

I could finally snatch a cheap copy of the FOREVER compilation 7" on IRATE RECORDS and therefore decided to post it even though it has been posted on 1000 other blogs before. as a matter of fact this compilation is one of the exceptions to the rule that HARDCORE compilation 7"es have to suck but I only bought it to complete my CITIZENS ARREST collection though. I could never really get into BORN AGAINST but even their track on this 7" is quite good compared to their other stuff but it's still the weakest track here in my ears and while CITIZENS ARREST are totally out of their league anyway but they are no match for BURN, TURNING POINT or RORSCHACH neither. click the cover to download.

truth be told: I rarely play the b-side of this comp. 7" as NAUSEA have better songs than the track here and I never really got into the music of BORN AGAINST. the a-side is way better even though LIFE'S BLOOD also have better tracks than HUMAN POWER that track is still pretty cool and the ABSOLUTION track is pretty solid as well. I ripped this from the 1st press that differs from the 2nd press through having a thicker cover if I'm not mistaken. don't quote me on that as I haven't seen a copy of the 2nd press yet and therefore I can't tell you if the track listing on the back covers of those is also wrong neither. in case of the 1st press it is and I ripped the tracks like they are on the actual record and not like they are listed (at least I think I did - it's quite a while since I ripped it). click on the cover above to d/l.

AGAINST IS THE BASTARD!

I was never that much into this 2 bands at all! I always found most of BORN AGAINST´s music boring and somehow MAN IS THE BASTARD couldn´t convince me either! the reason I still got this 8" is that there is a track on this record called ALBANY ACADEMY which is one of the few BORN AGAINST songs I consider really good! the 3 other BORN AGAINST tracks are like most of their songs - boring! at least in my ears. it´s a pity! they had one of the best names a band could have, good lyrics and put in a lot of effort but their music is overrated as fuck if you ask me. the flipside serves you 5 MAN IS THE BASTARD tunes that represent the worst they ever did! sounds like very bad MINIMAL HOUSE music at times!

live split 7" boot of YUPPICIDE & BORN AGAINST! the only reason to listen to this is that YUPPICIDE do a NEGATIVE APPROACH cover! but maybee you can discover qualities I couldn´t find? if so tell me!
