I've already posted the SIDE BY SIDE discography 12" ages ago but since I got myself another copy of their 7" some 15 years after I sold the first copy I had I thought I should post the 7" in spite of that as some people e.g. most likely haven't seen the original artwork yet and it's still one of the best S.E.H.C. records ever as far as I'm concerned. cheesy lyrics about friendship and unity plus great breakdowns, moshparts and singalong choruses - what more can you ask for? as this is a 3rd press it means there are at least 3 pressings of the SIDE BY SIDE 7" out there maybe more. click on the cover to download! password = mean.

out of all the straight edge bands of the late 80's, SIDE BY SIDE seems to be one of the most underrated. they're not as popular as GORILLA BISCUITS, as influential as YOUTH OF TODAY, or as musically advanced as BOLD, but nonetheless YOU`RE ONLY YOUNG ONCE is a powerful album and made get a MY LIFE TO LIVE tattoo over my belly! [no, I was never straight - more the opposite]

WHEN TIGERS FIGHT

one of the best records to come out of NYC and one of my all time faves - ALONE IN A CROWD's 4 song 7" on FLUX. I think I bought this 7" ca. 15 years ago but listening to WHEN TIGERS FIGHT still sends shivers down my spine! if I'd still be kickboxing this would be my song for marching to the ring! the lyrics in combination with Jules, who was also singing in SIDE BY SIDE, voice makes me want to hurt people! this song is AGGRESSION pressed on vinyl! click the cover to download!

edit: I found a rip of the CD re-issue on the web and included the tracks that weren't on the 7"!
