DEATH TO FALSE GRIND!

I finally gave the new one-sided INSECT WARFARE 12" a spin today... and I'm sorry to say that it's a complete let-down in my ears! fuck, am I disapointed! I knew that it was a NOISE kind of thing but truth be told ANb did stuff like this way better years ago! the non-music side, which isn't realy blank but hasn't anything pressed on it (at least nothing I could have heard) has better chances to make it on my turntable in the near future than the side that actually is suposed to be played! after PIG DESTROYER's NATASHA that's the 2nd record I didn't download and check before I ordered it and once again I regret that I haven't checked it before! if you really think you need this you better hurry up cause it's ltd. to 1000 copies if I'm not mistaken!

in my disappointment I somehow recognized that I hadn't posted INSECT WARFARE's AT WAR WITH GRINDCORE 7"... so here you go! I'm well aware of the fact that it has already been posted on 10000 other blogs but so what? this 8 track 7" was released in 2005 and is a fucking whirlwind! brilliant GRINDCORE with top notch production! it's a pitty that they didn't provide lyrics cause I'd be curious what the exact lyrics FREEBASE DIARRHEA and AMPHETAMINE PSYCHOSIS are! anyway, click the pic below to d/l!

AGORAPHOBIC INSECT

I've already written something about the ANb / INSECT WARFARE split 5" in an earlier post so I'll keep this one here short. I hadn't up-loaded/posted the music before cause you could still get the 5" then. but as it's sold out now and the guys from BROWNBROWN asked for a rip and as I had a rip I made for a friend anyway I decided to put it here too. you can get the tracks by clicking on the last pic!

if you visit my blog on a regular basis I think you know that INSECT WARFARE is a band that really slays! this is their split with Nippon's CARCASS GRINDER and here you get 4 more tracks of ELITIST ASSHOLE GRIND on INSECT WARFARE's side of the split and 5 tracks of JAPGRIND on the flipside. truth be told I just listen to the INSECT WARFARE side! it's not that CARCASS GRINDER wouldn't be good it's just that they are no match for INSECT WARFARE! as a matter of fact if you aren't HATRED SURGE sharing a split with INSECT WARFARE might not be the smartest thing to do as they'll make your band look weak! came in nice colored vinyl!

this is SHORT, FAST & LOUD issue # 19 which I've posted at PUNKS IS HIPPIES already but as FLAGITIOUS IDIOSYNCRASY IN THE DILAPIDATION and INSECT WARFARE which share the split 7" that came with it are great bands and SHORT, FAST & LOUD is one of the best zines around I thought I should put it up here too! Nippon's FLAGITIOUS IDIOSYNCRASY IN THE DILAPIDATION are one of the few all-female really fast and heavy bands around (also really great music-wise) and, the now already dead and gone INSECT WARFARE were one of the best GRINDCORE units ever you should download this 7" if you don't own it yourself! this issue of the zine features interviews with Sweden's SAYYADINA and VIOLENT HEADACHE besides the usual stuff! click the SHORT, FAST & LOUD cover to download it!

ELITIST ASSHOLE GRINDCORE

I found this review of INSECT WARFARE´s 1st 12" on the web and as the description is 100% accurate I took it for for their GULF COAST INFESTATION demo!
INSECT WARFARE have no random clean interludes and spazzed-out 'jazz' sections. They don't dress up in costumes resembling bugs, nor do they pretend to be anything other than a bunch of guys playing music. What they do is blast pure grindcore into any listener's ears; this means heavily distorted and massive guitar tones, frantic drumming, and every growl and croak imaginable.

World Extermination, their first full length, puts every aspect of INSECT WARFARE's music on display. Songs such as "Self Termination" and "Necessary Death" maintain a constant heaviness and speed that at times almost resembles old-school death metal. Others bring more diversity, incorporating more groove-oriented sections in between the blasts of cymbals and noise. They even manage to write a few catchy riffs in the process, including those in "Hydrophobia" and "Enslaved by Machinery".
