NACHZEHRER was the follow up of Augsburg's WARTOYS to their split 7" with TOTAL RESISTENCIA. this was one of the bands out of the ashes of INFERNO, you know this German band that had records like TOD & WAHNSINN! WARTOYS were more U.K.-CRUST sounding than INFERNO (when INFERNO were around there was no CRUST yet but INFERNO influenced the CRUST bands a lot). and WARTOYS were the only band, in our circle, that not only sounded CRUST but also looked like one! back to this 7" that came in a really cool package: a bag made of cloth with a screenprint on front and back enveloped the 7" cover, which was a fold out cover again as you can see on the pic. the 7" had 6 tracks of heavy, midtempo paced CRUST and the basic lyrical theme here was anti-MacDonald's. WARTOYS split up a short time ago. Zong, who was in INFERNO, will hate me for this as he doesn't like it when you stress his past in INFERNO but he also has a kind of INDUSTRIAL/NOISE project called DEEP.

  1. wish i had a past like playing in a band like inferno.keep it up pope great blog

  2. He should be proud for playing in Inferno, such a great band. I was just thinking to post the split with Execute, might do it soon.

  3. I know Zong for some years now, I wouldn´t dare to say we´re close friends but we know each other and never had any trouble [more the opposite]!
he doesn´t like to talk about INFERNO...if I should give a reason why, than I would say cause he doesn´t want to be a "rockstar" and he´s like me in certain things - he doesn´t like "fans" neither! next thing is to think about how things were back in those days! yes like today STUPIDITY everywhere you look! you know faster, louder, harder! and another ex-INFERNO member plays know in a band called TERRORGRUPPE and they´ve somehow used the featuring ex-blabla to get attention! I´ve been told Zong´s not so happy about that, too!

this is just MY personal opinion and/or things that I´ve been told by people so don´t take this as the absolut truth even tough I´m the pope!
hm, maybe I can persuade Zong to make an exception and let´s me do an interview?
b.t.w. Archi the guy in TERRORGRUPPE bought back the rights to all the INFERNO songs, paid for remastering, etc and does now an official INFERNO discography!

  4. Good speech holy bastard hahaha. Well I understand and i also have a friend like that a guy that used to play for Doom / Health Hazard... Just don't let any Japanese to know that he used to play in some classic band, otherwise be prepare for the flashes and pens ;)

  5. if it´s Bri than say hell-o from me!

  6. It's been ages since I've seen Zong. He was a big fan of a sludge band I used to play in (Holefiller). We played together with Deep in Duisburg many years ago. And I remember he doesn't like to talk about Inferno...
