Tony a.k.a. Slobodan Burgher told me about this new & brilliant French band called WARNING/WARNING that would have GASMASK TERRÖR members within their ranks which he thought of to be some kind of Dis-band he never bothered to check out. as I think GASMASK TERRÖR are quite good I promised to post their tape from 2006 0r 2007 so Tony can finally check them out too. well, here it is Hr. you may have noticed that I didn't post really much in the last time and I already told you how fucking busy I am, etc... well, that's just one reason the other reason is that there are some things connected to blogging that start to get on my nerves and actually I thought about deleting the blog. take a look here and then take another look here and download both archives you may find them somehow very similar except the one on my blog does contain the artwork that my rips incl. in about 95% of all cases and the other one doesn't. ok, that was just a tape and to scan a tape cover isn't a big thing but it still takes time to do it and I don't spend my time to scan covers, etc. so some stupid asscandle can play the cool guy and pose a little bit! if you want to use my rips go ahead and use them cause they were made especially for that purpose and I also couldn't care less if you give me credits or not but if you use my rips than use the whole rip cause I don't rip stuff for the douchebags out there I rip them for those that appreciate the work and effort that was put in the rips. on a side note: I know that some people that have used my rips didn't download them from here but got them from soulseek... now, listen that's no fucking excuse cause it doesn't matter where you actually got the rip from what matters is to respect other people's work. I made a rip of a split 7" and cause I wasn't exactly sober I misspelled one of the 2 bandnames and when I realized I had already uploaded the archive and as I was lazy I just corrected the name just on the rar file... I know 3 different blogs that have posted this split and cause they put so much effort in their work and are loving HARDCORE/PUNK/THE BAND so much that they posted it with the spelling error I made. which makes me think they probably never listened to it but just d/l it from here deleted the artwork and try to cover that they just got the mp3s and most likely have never seen the record itself. FUCK, bring me the head of such a fucking lowlife on a stick and you'll most likely get some rare records for it! the cunt from the example above would be a good start!
somewhen in the 90ies I was in Schweinfurt/Germany on some kind of festival. I don't remember which bands were on the bill but one of them was YUPPICIDE (one of my all-time fave bands). I was flipping through some distro's records when all of a sudden someone grabbed my arm, started yelling Steve and tried to pull me away from the distro table. the name of the guy was Jesse and he was the singer of YUPPICIDE and the Steve he was calling was their guitarist and the reason for his behaviour was the YUPPICIDE tattoo on my forearm which made both of them go nuts. after they got a camera and took some pics of it I ended up talking with Jesse who told me that YUPPICIDE had already split up and just reformed for one last tour through Europe. he also told me that Steve was doing a new band called FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY and that he was also doing a new band and gave me the demo tape of this band which was called BLAZE CAMO. 4 tracks of HARDCORE/POST-HARDCORE that aren't really bad but are far from being good either. decide for yourself! b.t.w. could anyone rip the FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY 2 x 7"?
thanks to the guy who provided me with the link to this demo in a comment! if I'm not mistaken his name was Aaron - anyway, thanks a lot! this beast is the demo of ALTERED BEAST hailing from Chicago, Illinois and play great HARDCORE, FASTCORE, whatever you wanna call it... you know the kind of band that has listened to NO COMMENT or INFEST more than once! the only negative thing to say would be that there are no lyrics nor any other additional info.
as you are no stranger to THE RITES if you are a regular visitor of my blog I'll keep this post short! pissed off, angry and spiteful HARDCORE. the vocalist played drums for TEAR IT UP and other band members have been in CUT THE SHIT if I'm not mistaken. all in all a brilliant band but somehow nobody seems to care about them? click the cover to d/l!
it's early in the morning and I'm still assembling records, well actually I'm having a break at the moment which I thought I could spend doing a new post. I decided that it's finally about time I point you to another sweet New Zealand band which is called ROGERNOMIX and features 2 members of SHORTLIVED. Sarsha does what she also does in SHORTLIVED and plays bass and Sam who handles the vocals in SHORTLIVED plays guitar and handles 50% of the vocals while another woman handles the remaining 50%. dual vocals, especially if they are male/female, are always a plus in my book and therefore it's no wonder that I like their demo which was dubbed on a BACKSTREET BOYS tape in case of my copy. I got my copy from singer Sam when I met him in Vienna together with a CD that contains their new recordings (which are really sweet! way better than this demo which is quite good already!). the 8 track tape comes with a printed cover with the lyrics on it. click on the last pic to d/l! password = mean.
Dirty Girls = Eyehategod + Discharge + His Hero Is Gone I've had to re-write this review four times, goddammit, so you fuckers better appreciate it. California's Dirty Girls are the epitome of a "kick-ass-and-take-names-later" punk rock band. There are four songs on this 7", and the fucking thing is roughly five minutes long … five of the most absolutely punishing minutes I've ever experienced. While a lot of so-called "punk bands" these days are content with simply ripping off Black Flag, Tragedy, or any number of "Dis-" bands, Dirty Girls take the aggression of D-beat punk and meld it perfectly with the pain and grime of Eyehategod. The result is a release that gives a much-needed shot in the arm to a genre that should have been dead and buried 10 times over by now. Track it down. I obviously didn't have to re-write this for 4 times but I have nothing to add anyway!
this is DEAD STARE's 7 track demo tape released on DRUGGED CONSCIENCE. well, it's not really a demo tape as the 7 tracks were supposed to be released as an E.P. that somehow never saw the light of day and therefore the tracks ended up on this (pro-dubbed) tape. fast and angry HARDCORE - 7 tracks in less than 7 minutes. the only let down is that there are no lyrics included. as DEAD STARE have just recently released a split 7" with HUMMINGBIRD OF DEATH one or two readers may already be familiar with them. in case you're not familiar with DEAD STARE let me tell you that you should download this here and check them out right now.
I'm aware that RID THE WORLD's demo tape has been posted on a few blogs already but as I couldn't name a blog that not only praised the music but also the wicked packaging I decided to post it myself and take care of praising the whole thing. their demo is called A COLLECTION OF SONGS TO BEAT THE SHIT by some and that's a pretty good description. raw, fast, ugly INFEST worship from Clevo that could be a pretty neat soundtrack to a brawl. besides the great music it also has a tottaly rad packaging as I already said. the plastic tape box comes with the RID THE WORLD logo printed on it as you can see above and the tape itself also has artwork glued on it! this tape is an example of how to do a fucking brilliant job!

fucking sick! that's how one could sum up the main aspects of IN DISGUST's REALITY CHOKE tape. 15 tracks of hard as nails GRINDCORE that sounds unbelievable brutal. if you are into GRINDCORE and haven't checked out IN DISGUST yet I recommend you stop wasting time and do so now!
I told you that NIGHTBRINGER are one of the best bands around at the moment at least once. well, now I told you twice! and even though the artwork above is from their brilliant demo this post is not about their demo - it's about their live recordings for the EQUALIZING DISTORT radioshow they did at the CIUT BASEMENT which gets frequently played at my place in spite of the fact that I hate livecuts in at least 95% of all cases. their myspace page says: "we play both kinds of rock'n'roll... fast & loud!" and I tend to agree with them. one part MOTÖRHEAD, one part BURNING SPIRIT HARDCORE, one part good old Iggy throw in a little bit of MC5 here and there and it should be pretty close to NIGHTBRINGER here. if you click on the pic on the bottom you'll get another livecut in one wav file!
I had posted NINE CURVE's 7" as a part of the 625 THRASH special a while ago (truth be told my last post here happened also a while ago) and was convinced that their 7" was all they ever released. well, I was wrong as there's this discography as you can see. this was a Japan only release (don't quote me on that) and if it wouldn't have been for a Japanese friend I might have never heard of it! as it compiles all 21 tracks they released in their career from all their releases quite a lot of them appear more than once! 
I admit that I'd have nearly overlooked that AM I MEAN? has it's 2nd birthday today and therefore hadn't prepared any special rips or so. well, fuck it! I had ripped the REVERSAL OF MAN / COMBAT WOUNDED VETERAN split 12" a while ago and decided I'd prefer to use this split above XCHORUSX's TRUTH GIVES WINGS... as I don't see a S.E. record fit into a post that has something to do with a birthday celebration.! anyway, as both bands are well-known I just add that it comes with 9 tracks of spastic HARDCORE . click the pic below!
one of my favorite bands at the moment: TRASH TALK this is their one-sided 6 song 7" that was released in 2008 and is called PLAGUES. music-wise you can expect fast and really pissed of HARDCORE that can be summed up in one word: brilliant! click the last pic to d/l!
DRUG PROBLEM is SHORTLIVED's guitarist James' other band and this is their new CD. this is a totally sick piece of art & music - a mix of SLUDGE and POWER VIOLENCE you haven't heard before! it's sold on SHORTLIVED's tour so hurry up and get yourself a copy. they got a good review in SHORT, FAST + LOUD too!
not much activity here lately, I know, I know...but IDONEUM BELLO keeps me busy as well as some other shit! anyway, here's another short post. BENÜMB's GEAR IN THE MACHINE 7" which was released as part of the RELAPSE 7" series. 6 heavy hitters way rawer than their last 2 full-lengths!
it's PULLING TEETH vs. FRIGHTENER on this 7" and I couldn't say who wins! both bands fight tooth and claw to take the crown but in my ears it's a draw. even though PULLING TEETH love to throw in METAL parts in their HARDCORE here and there. sweet artwork and colored wax what more can you ask for?
I ripped ENEMY SOIL's LIVE AT FIESTA GRANDE # 5 FLEXI 7" while playing it for the 1st. I don't like live-recordings that much and these here are no exceptions but I've heard worse live stuff. basically I just bought it cause I got it very cheap to tell the truth and I think I won't play it very often. click on the pic below.
