A MADHOUSE MEETING OF BANNED PUNX!
this is a classic! repeat! this is a classic! RAZORS´ BANNED PUNX 12", released in 1982 on KONEKSCHEN RECORDS (one of the 1st german PUNKLABELS) is among the 5 best german records that have been released in the 80ies! I guess I would have killed for this 5 song 12" that runs on 45 rpm while I was trying to get ahold of this gem! RAZORS were part of the early HH-scene (together with BUTTOCKS, NAPALM, SCREAMER, COPSLAYERS, CORONERS, etc.) so you shouldn´t wonder that the vox aren´t done by the original singer Danker, they´re done by Lui who did the vox on the PUNKENSTEIN 7" and played in NAPALM as well! RAZORS did 3 7"es, this 12" e.p. and a full length 12", and some comptracks in the 80ies. they reformed in the late 90ies (I think they did some new stuff again) and may still be around! both 12"es have been re-released for their reunion as a double 12" or maybe they reunited cause of re-release! what most people don´t know is that there is more than the vinyl stuff! there is a tape (recorded in their rehearsal room which happened to be on a ship) that is better than the rest of their 7"es and the other 12" and some live tracks on some old tapecomps! I´ve been told that their singer disappeared and nobody knows what happened to him! basicly the same 20 - 30 people wrote and recorded most of the classic records during that period in Hamburg!and for the record: not only that RAZORS tape but some of the coolest songs from this time never made it on vinyl! ever heared UNTER DEN BRÜCKEN HAMBURGS from SPIEL 77 or DER NAZIHIPPIE from MEINE SCHUPPEN? no? sorry you!

I found myself listening to a lot of DOOM lately and DOOM´s RUSH HOUR OF THE GODS is my fave DOOM 12”! 11 tracks (and an outro) of fierce & angry CRUST done by a band that helped to define CRUSTPUNK while being ahead of the other bands most of the time (they dropped the ball with WORLD OF SHIT in my opinion!)! I still love this band as much as I did 15 years ago!

ladies & gentlemen: KUNGFU RICK once again! don´t know if this is their 1st 7" as there is another 7" that´s called STATUES TO STONES SOLDIERS TO BONES now how´s that for a title? if you don´t know this band: they play fast HARDCORE on the verge to GRINDCORE here and there with 2 singers and most important - they are great at what they do!PRAY FOR HELL!
nearly forgot this one! the GOMORRHA / HELLCHILD split 7” which was requested by someone quite a while ago! sorry for the delay! GOMORRHA have 3 tracks on this one with the last song going over 3 minutes and being their weakest song! the other 2 tracks are GRINDCORE in the GOMORRHA style as usual! HELLCHILD suck, period! reminds me of PANTERA or other bad POWERMETAL! 2 boring tracks! b.t.w. there´s a GOMMORHA Discography 12” on HATER OF GOD rec. (one of the best record label names ever!) that has all their stuff (the AS GOOD AS DEAD 12”, the split 7”es with TUMULT and HELLCHILD & the track from the SEED OF THE NEXT SEASON comp.) and fantastic artwork – get it when you can!

the title of this post says it all! Well, TUMULT claim not to play POWER VIOLENCE but music wise that´s what it sounds like! many people say these guys are assholes (meaning the singer is an asshole)…well fuck those idiots! what do they know anyway! their singer is a very nice guy with a great sense of humor! a kind of tounge in cheek humor that´s not for everybody a kind of humor that shows up in their lyrics and that I find great!
JAPANESE BRAINS
the RETURN TO ROOTS 8” of the FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS! you need to know that they are the JAPCORE version of the BAD BRAINS! as a matter of fact I´ve never heard a band that comes as close to the original as these guys do! cool, rocking HARDCORE!
I DON`T GIVE A FUCK
the DOOM / CRESS split10” is another classic in the history of DOOM who offer 4 tracks of CRUST you would expect from them! CRESS offer 4 tracks of drumcomputer PEACEPUNK! well, I was never that much into PEACEPUNK as I tend to find it boring 99% of the time, but as I know these guys personal and therefore know that they are great people they belong to the exceptions!
and now back to bragging: when CRESS stayed at the house I was living way back then their singer / keyboarder told me that he was tired as fuck and would love to take a shower and go to sleep right after that but feared that would not happen cause of the party noise (there were CRESS, DETESTATION and OPERATION staying at our house that night and the party was the aftershow party of the CRESS, ERADICATE, OPERATION, DETESTATION show in Regensburg which was a hell of a show) and the lack of a towel! so I offered him a towel and my room to sleep in! I went back upstairs and continued to harass Bri (from this band called DOOM who was the driver for CRESS) for being SELL OUT cause I found LOST & FOUND records were selling a video that featured DOOM (poor Bri was harassed by me, ClAUS-ROTTEN of REVOLTE and Füx of BAD INFLUENCE records while each of us 3 was drunk as hell)! Bri proofed that he can take a joke that night! when I went in my room to fetch some weed I couldn´t believe my eyes: my whole mess was cleaned up by Ste! that probably means I lived in a real chaos and we knew how to party back in the days!
I could tell you now that Ben of DROP DEAD did the same 2 weeks earlier or that one of the GOMORRHA singers had the honor to be harrased by ClAUS-ROTTEN and me for shit I can´t remember anymore, too…but those are other storys

Chris Approach I ripped GOMORRHA´s AS GOOD AS DEAD cd again! this time it´s 192 kBit/s and tagged! as far as the music is concerned: this is still top notch GRINDCORE played at breakneck speed with dual vox where one is doing the growling and the other one is doing the screaming! contains the tracks from the split 7” with TUMULT with way better sound!

Some bad news:You probably know about the changes in Divshare server. You could make an account there and upload as many files as you want and there was no bandwidth limit for downloads. This was the situation until the guys there decided to give 5 GB storage and 50 GB of downloads per month. There is no storage problem but 50 GB downloads per month is not enough and makes things difficult: The new shit started in January 17 and we are at 82% , this is because of the blog visits=downloads but also because of something else:Divshare counts as download not really the download but the simple click to open the page before the download starts,if you cancel the download by leaving the page,Divshare counts the entering to the page as one time download, some times it counts twice or thrice one download (i ve discovered that comparing the number of downloads in 4shared and divshare, divshare gives always bigger numbers, sometimes the double, while 4share is most accourate in counting . That means Divshare somehow cheats but we can not prove it..Divshare did this for their own reasons($$$$) since the solution for this problem is to upgrade your account and get 10 times bigger bandwidth. I guess none will upgrade,am i wrong?so if we reach the limit you have to be patient...

the back cover reads: these songs were taken from the ASSFORT – FIVE KNUCKLE SHUFFLE cd-only release on selfish records recorded in 1991. a “full length cd” with only 18 minutes of music on it, sold for maximum price – a massive rip off. So there was only one thing left to do: a bootleg – here it is, punk! why the bootlegers didn´t include all songs and pressed just 300 of this, if there goal was to make the music available to everyone for a reasonable price remains their secret! musicwise ASSFORT is what you´d expect from a JAPCORE band: raging HARDCORE!

another split 7” battle… this time between Y and DIAVOLO ROSSO! the 3 DIAVOLO ROSSO tracks are the weakest recordings they´ve ever done! Kühni, their singer, thinks the same and will hate me if he sees this post! the drummer of STACK plays for DIAVOLO ROSSO on these recordings and his drumming doesn´t fit the ROSSO sound! at least that´s what Kühni says! BOMBS OF NO IDEA
Hell yes...that´s the real deal! BOMBS OF DEATH was kind of a project with Hirax Max of you know who and Steve Heritage of you should who! now you should have a clue how they might sound! what ever you imagine musicwise: when you hear them it will sound more brutal, more hateful, more extreme than your imagination! this is mean shit!
