AFTER NEARLY 10 YEARS OF HIATUS

I'll re-activate my label! the 1st 2 releases will be out in late January / February 2009! after those 2 there are some more things I'd love to do. one of them being a split 7" for which I need a second band! if you think that your band deserves to be on that split try and convince me that your band is reliable and that you put some pride in what you're doing (that means if you leave a comment with a link to a shitty done 128 kbits mp3 rip of your shitty recorded demo you failed!)! if you think you could succeed contact me via e-mail but be prepared that if I don't know you and your band you'll have to send me a physical copy of your demo, 7", whatever by snail mail and that is not negotiable!

ATTENTION: if you play in some shitty OI, POPPUNK, GORE- or PORNGRIND band and are really stupid enough to try be prepared to be ridiculed and mocked in nearly all of my future posts here on this blog!

PARASITE

it's once again time for some SHANK! so here's the SHANK / MINUTE MANIFESTO split 7" that I actually didn't rip cause of the SHANK stuff as their 6 tracks all appear on their semi discography THE CURSE OF SHANK but cause of MINUTE MANIFESTO! they are another awesome band that somehow never drew much attention. they rip through 7 pissed off, raging tracks of their own and throw in a STUPIDS cover that also really slays as icing on the gravy! this was the 1st SHANK record I bought. I bought it at their show in Munich where they played with a band that was called HERNANDEZ if I remember correct. everybody seemed to like HERNANDEZ cause they "tried to do their own thing" which would translate to they used a keyboard but I found them boring especially as they played after SHANK! be prepared for the MINUTE MANIFESTO / URKO split 12" in the near future!

TAKING OUT THE THRASH AGAIN

BARBARIC THRASH # 5 features the likes of LOW THREAT PROFILE, BURN YOUR BRIDGES, HIT ME BACK, APATHETIC YOUTH, YOUTH RIOT, OUT OF VOGUE, HARRY BALZAGNA AND THE TEENIE WEENIES and FIND HIM AND KILL HIM. the winner are LOW THREAT PROFILE that sound just like INFEST. they released only tracks on different comps till now and never gave more information about the people in the band than a DRAW Blank logo! the rest is just like you'd expect it to be on a comp. out of this series! if I'm not mistaken the SOCAL THRASH DEMOLITION CD is compilling the 7"es and then some more!

JESUS WAS A FUCKING DICK!

ahmm, probably not as he didn't exist but it's a nice title for a record! as nearly every blog has some STACK to offer I thought it would be a good idea to post some ABOLITION which was the band before STACK and which is the better band in my ears! while STACK were more hectic ABOLITION sounded a lot more like INFEST and, don't ask me why Bernd's vocal style sound a lot like YUPPICIDE on some occasions! not really the vocals itself more the way how they are done. great recording quality and deep explanations to the lyrics in English and German. what more can you ask for?

PANG NAT DET

I just bought the PUNK IM DSCHUNGEL a.k.a. PANG NAT DET documentary on DVD. I saw that the 1st time when it was aired on Germany's national TV. it's basically a documentary about CLUSTER BOMB UNIT's South-East Asia tour but it comes with a very strange record that's a 5" and a CD at the same time. to play it on a turntable you put the small grey ring in the middle hole, to play it in a CD-player take out the ring and put it inside a CD-player like any other CD. music-wise it features all the bands that played with C.B.U. and some C.B.U. themselves!

edit: also included was that C.B.U. PANG NAT DET (which translates to PUNK'S NOT DEAD if I'm not mistaken) patch below and if you click it you can download the vinyl side of that hybrid CD-record that didn't impress Chabo as it impressed me! might have something to do with his new discovered love for an old blanket that he had sex with at least 4 times today! damned little pervert! on the other hand it could also have something to do with the weak packaging! no lyrics, no information on the South-East Asian bands - nothing, just the tracklist!

thanks to the EL PASO Rec. website I found a link where one can download San Francisco based MAN AMONG WOLVES free 5 track EP which was released by a "netlabel" called KITTY ON FIRE. I'd have a question for the "netlabel" dudes: why are your files ripped with ridiclous 128 kbits? do you want your bands to sound like shit? as you run a "netlabel" you should at least try to pretend you put some pride in your bands and in what you do! the low quality rip couldn't fuck up MAN AMONG WOLVES 5 songs enough so you can imagine that this 2 piece is quite good at what they're doing! their myspace told me: "Formed in 2008, Man Among Wolves is a grind/hardcore band. We keep it loud, fast and short." that's pretty true!

TRASH IS BUSINESS!

Italian's OHUZARU deliver the 1st record I ever saw that had the complete lyrics printed on one of the labels, I admit that it's just a 5" and that the lyrics to MILK which is a S.O.D. cover are missing but as Billy Milano is more known for being anti-gay, while being pro-death penalty and besides that having the I.Q. of an average doorknob than for writing deeply poetic and well thought out lyrics you aren't really missing anything! I never understood why Danny Lilker and Scott Ian got that ass-candle as vocalist for S.O.D.! back to Italy, now! besides said cover-song OHUZARU offer 3 sweet and short thrashers that have well thought out lyrics of their own. they live up to the record's title! no doubt about it! nice little disc that I would even have called a good record if they had left out that cover-song of the band with the fucktard singer that looks like 2 Pavarottis!

ANOTHER YOUNG HOPE

I stumbled over this on Irish Dave's Blog that's always worth a visit in case you didn't know yet! TAKING OUT THE THRASH!

the BAY AREA THRASH VOL. III comp. is a CD only release that has tracks by IN DISGUST, BEFOREAFTER, SUBURBAN DEATH CAMP, SECOND OPINION, BRUTAL DEATH, NO DICE and ROSENBOMBS. I bought it cause of the ROSENBOMBS tracks cause they rule - plain simple! the rest of the bands isn't bad (SECOND OPINION are actually really good) but are no match for ROSENBOMBS!

MY 2 CENTS

there was some discussion going on when I posted EARTH CRISIS FIRESTORM 7" (click on the cover to go to the actual post) and I said I'd write something after reading through the information provided by Buske and Guav and in spite of having the feeling of not really being able to say much about the things you 2 guys were talking about I'll try my best to write something reasonable!
the problem is that most of the things you said have been written in response to what Aesop said and not to the things I said. I said that "I´m sure most of the people felt pretty dangerous and revolutionary at that moment and some maybe saw themselves as part of an underground army even days after the show!" and that "the problem is that this would be the most revolutionary act the majority of those people would ever commit! EARTH CRISIS delivered the soundtrack to a revolution that was already postponed before it began!" and I still think that's true. I don't have any inside knowledge or personal experiences with them as you 2 do have that's why I've to base my opinion on their lyrics and on what Karl said on stage at the shows I saw and as a matter of fact some of his statements could have been straight from L. Strauss no matter what his background might be. that's just my impression and maybe it's different to you cause you know those guys or maybe it's just that I'm from Europe and things here aren't as fucked up as in the U.S. (yet)?
another point is that Karl's lyrics (not so much on the 7"es but on the full-lengths) are not really written in a way that would make it easy to understand them as a non native-speaker.

TRAPPED

the new TRAP THEM 12" called SEIZURES IN BARREN PRAISE has an awesome packaging! a gatefold cover that folds out to both sides with drawings that fit to their brutal, vicious HARDCORE. a nice gimmick for a great record! mine came in marbled grey vinyl.

TOTAL FUCKING NOSEBLEEDING!

here we go again with some more AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED! this time they share a 7" with TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION which is cool for them as I think they suck so AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED don't have to really fight tooth and claw to win this battle! to be honest one of the 2 T.F.D. tracks (that blend into one another so that I had to leave them as one track b.t.w.) is a cover of EXPLOITED's SID VICIOUS WAS INNOCENT and that's the best stuff I've heard from them till now! I saw them live with GROINCHURN and that was ok but on record they're way to "hectic" and /or "jazzy" for me! ANb deliver 4 tracks and even tough I think it's quite good I still have the feeling that their heydays are over and gone? click on either of the cover to download!

NEW & ON HEAVY ROTATION

as I told you already in the post before I got new records today and therefore have a reason to "preach" again! thanks to MOSH EISLEY I discovered SOUL SWALLOWER! even though this 7" was released in 2005 I heard their name for the 1st time just a short time before I found the rip on the web. I think I played it 15 times today! if you like your HARDCORE fast, brutal and fueled by hate and despair you should give SOUL SWALLOWER's awesome 7" a try! I'm very, very sure you won't be disappointed! the only thing I would like better if done in a different way is the order of the tracks! the way they appear on the 7" is 4 tracks on side 1 vs. 2 tracks on side 2 and as those 2 tracks are a little bit slower than the 4 tracks on side 1 I'd dare to say 3/3 would've been a better order as it sounds tighter that way! anyway, great record!

a short time ago I made a post telling you how fuckig brilliant I'd consider CALIFORNIA LOVE's REAPING THE WHIRLWIND 12" to be. well, today I got their CAN'T WASTE DEATH 12" and guess what - it is also a fucking brilliant record! 12 devastating fierce and vicious songs on a 12" that comes in a heavy cardboard cover, with the artwork and the tracklist silkscreened on it in different colors and has a running time so short I'm 100% sure it could have been released as a 10" without any problems and maybe even as a 7"! as you can see on the post I did on their other 12" Aaron, who plays in CALIFORNIA LOVE, is a visitor of my blog and if you think I just wrote this here cause he promised to send me their new recordings after they are finished - you caught me red handed! don't forget to tell your friends about it and how fucking sell-out I am and tell them I'm the one who spoiled PUNK too!

thanks to Chris of CRUSTCRACKER I stumbled across LEGION DCLXVI (= LEGION 666) another fucking awesome and unique Canadian band! unique cause they dare to carry the BLACK METAL / satanism thing further than anybody else in the whole world wide PUNK / HARDCORE scene (except ORDER OF THE VULTURE maybe)! the cover of this 12" isn't so "satanic" (well it is if you've understood what a "satanic" cover is by the definition of a satanist and not by the definition of an idiot desperately trying to make it something like reverse X-tianity) but the cover of their DIE SCHEISSE CHRISTUS CD released on YELLOW DOG Rec. caused some trouble in liberal Sweden cause of the cover! music-wise the mix of HARDCORE and (early) BLACK METAL works really great! if you like the "more PUNK in it IMPALED NAZARENE stuff" you should definitely give them a listen! another point that should be mentioned is that they've really good lyrics! (I admit I haven't read all, yet!) and that the package is top notch too! my 12" came with 2 of the poster below in red with black stains vinyl and a nice looking lyric sheet!

ASS-CANDLES

when I was driving to the mail office this morning to pick up the records you can see above I also saw those asscandles you can see on the picture below! truth be told: I didn't get what was happening there in the beginning as the big yellow house they're waving their stupid Mary pics and crosses at is a medical center that happens to have a sex-shop in it in the basement and so I thought it's cause of the sex-shop till my girlfriend opened the window and heard somebody say something about murder! when she said murder the bell in my rang - those retards were there to protest against abortion! this was the 1st time I ever saw something like that in my hometown and so I took 2 pics while driving! they aren't really my best work but as I was driving and took them with my cellphone they are still ok! what you can't see is that there were nearly as many cops as X-tians and I really mean that they were nearly equal in numbers! I'd have loved to start a "discussion" with them and fuck their heads a little bit but my girlfriend had no time! what's still in my head are questions like: why have there been so many cops? as the cops were standing on the side looking at the people coming nearer I'd say to protect the asscandles (from whom or whatever?)? what kind of X-tians were they? from the little I could hear I'd dare to say they belong to a fundamentalistic branch most likely! I saw something on TV about the rise of those retards in Germany a short time ago and it seems like they were right when saying that it's possible that we'll see the bombing of clinics, the murders of pro-choice activists, etc. in our country in a not so distant future if nobody interferes! ha, as they choose my city to start the future looks bright! at least for me cause everytime I'm bored I'll embarass or ridicule one of those dumb-ass retards in public when they are out to get souls for their god!

I hereby admit that Aesop was the 1st one I saw that used the word ass-candle but as I really liked it I decided to "steal" it from him and from now on use it without any shame in at least every 3rd post!

HUMAN PREY

when I found the CD version for 1 buck I bought it in spite of the fact that I have TERRORIZER's WORLD DOWNFALL already at home on vinyl. and as it's still one of my all-time faves but is hard to get on vinyl (and the few that one could get once in a while usually sell for a small fortune) I decided to rip and post it! in case you have lived a your life hermit style the last 20 years and really never heard of this band you know now that it was a kind of a project featuring Pete Sandoval (MORBID ANGEL) on drums, David Vincent (MORBID ANGEL) on bass, Jesse Pintado (NAPALM DEATH) on guitar and Oscar Garcia (NAUSEA /L.A.) on vocals. those 4 guys recorded one of the fastest, hardest and one of the most brutal albums the wold has seen till now! if you just know their 2nd album that was released just some years ago and maybe don't know what I'm talking about here - let me tell you that DARKER DAYS AHEAD looks in direct comparsion to WORLD DOWNFALL like a warm summerwind to a hurricane! if you don't own this record in some form: D O W N L O A D ! N O W ! ! !
