here we go again with some more AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED! this time they share a 7" with TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION which is cool for them as I think they suck so AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED don't have to really fight tooth and claw to win this battle! to be honest one of the 2 T.F.D. tracks (that blend into one another so that I had to leave them as one track b.t.w.) is a cover of EXPLOITED's SID VICIOUS WAS INNOCENT and that's the best stuff I've heard from them till now! I saw them live with GROINCHURN and that was ok but on record they're way to "hectic" and /or "jazzy" for me! ANb deliver 4 tracks and even tough I think it's quite good I still have the feeling that their heydays are over and gone? click on either of the cover to download!

I LOVE the cover art!
ReplyDeleteWhat label released this, I'd be interested in picking it up.
ReplyDelete@ Zmaj:
ReplyDeleteFlorian's art is great! I agree 100%!
@ Shanetera:
good luck trying!
released by BONES BRIGADE from France
1300 on blue / 200 on green vinyl!
I'm grabbin' this for the sick cover art as well, but I'll probably give the A.N. side a few spins.
ReplyDeleteT.F.D.'s EXPLOITED cover is cool too!
ReplyDeleteHi. I've downloaded some of your vinyl rips and no offense, but they are not very good quality rips. I own some of the records you posted and they have a much more full sound in reality compared to some of your rips. Here's two versions of the same track by Y off the Y/Dumbstruck split 7", your rip and also mine (which was not EQ'd in any way and still sounds much more full). I think you should be able hear the difference quite clearly:

Ok, sorry to criticize you like that, but it had to be said.
I think that the rips on this blog are quite good. Lotsa other blog rip their records with 128 Kbit rates.
ReplyDeleteOr they don´t even rip the records themself, they just `steal´ the files from somewhere in the internet.
MP3 flies cannot be compared to the sound of a good record player / stereo.
I like high quality soundfiles myself but we´re talking about punk music not some classical music.
Thx Papst for making such effort!
@ Shanetera: It should be no problem to get this split 7". I know some distributions / mailorders who still sell it.
the cover art is fantastic..
ReplyDeletei think the split is sold out but there will be some re-press in the future...
and Papst you should give TFD a chance...their new album is really great..
The new TFD is really great. Awsome production. At the moment only available on Cd. I wrote an email to Enucleation who announced the vinyl version, but I didn´t get an reply yet.
ReplyDeleteSo I don´t know when the Lp will be released.
@ Zach & Rob:
ReplyDeleteyour rip 320 kbits - my rip 224 kbits
that's the explanation and that's why I started to rip everything with 320 kbits somewhen! I didn't know that the difference would be so extreme before I tried and since that it's 320 kbits here!
I agree and have to say that I didn't hear ANY mp3 rip that would be a match for the vinyl version!
and that's the next point: I make rips of the records the way they sound good on my stereo / speakers which are not the cheapest ones now depending on your stereo that can make a big difference too!
as Rob said I rip my own records and don't use files from other people except those someone send me and those a pointed out as not being my rips!
I don't see any sense in ripping a record with 128 kbits to make it sound like shit! that's the main reason why I stopped "stealing" rips from the web which I did in the beginnig and which I still think is ok if you give credits and upload the files yourself.
but as I want this blog to represent my work I quit doing that. and as i want it to be as good as possible I say thanks for your work and feedback to both of you!
another thing Rob touched is using the uploads of others... in short: if you do that you are a worthless piece of shit! period!
@ Jack L.:
I did but since now they didn't manage to convince me! maybe I'll give their new album a try!
I'm only somewhat intersted in the AN side, but the TFD side is what I really want to here. I think Richard Hoak is a really good musician.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, the art is super gnarly, how could you not like that?
I guess I'll try to do some digging for it in distos.
More like distros
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteThe art is amazing and I fucking love TFD.
I´ve got one copy for trade now!
ReplyDeleteGet in touch!
hey dude whats hapenin? ok i really need to buy this 7' can u please tell me where u found it(a european distro would be perfect)
ReplyDeletethanx man
as written earlier: good luck trying! I bought that 7" when it was released but I'm sure it's sold out now and sells for a small fortune on ebay. if you want a copy contact Rob (in case he still has his extra copy - he's a reliable guy) or me (I'm nearly sure I got 1 or 2 extra copies here too) and maybe you can work out a trade.
