DRUGS OF FAITH, founded by an ENEMY SOIL original member, bashes through its HARDCORE fused with GRINDCOREparts and dissonant chords. lyrics cover the personal as well as the political landscape. this is their DEMO from 2002 and a PROMO-CD [ähm, HARDCORE? the swiss band EMBALMING THEATRE is one of europe´s top bands! they play GRINDCORE with BLASTBEATS and DEATH METAL parts and they are good at what they doing! JANE SAW ME is a comp. of 56 tracks that have been released on various stuff before! good for you as you don´t have to hunt every split 7" down! just download this and be blown away by their sheer brutality! have I mentioned they remind me of old CARCASS?

I saw dozends of clones that looked like they had jumped straight out of that pic last night and I survived... and had a new idea! when my pics and clips are good enough for the press... as I wanted to do a new zine anyway... 324 are back on this blog! an injection of crusty grindcore from NIPPON. excellent, fast, delivery with both punchy and sludgy riffs and straightforward drum assaults ranging from BLASTBEATS to to D-BEATS usually in one song.
featuring some of the guys from EXHUMED, CRETIN harkens back to the days of REPULSION and prime NAPALM DEATH, paying homage to the sound of the early days... silly, yes, and derivative, but exceptionally well-done and fun.
this is DECREPIT´s brilliant 5 track 7"! DECREPIT were one of the most underrated and overlooked HARDCORE/CRUST/GRIND bands ever! I still mourn the loss of their even more brilliant TIRED OF LICKING BLOOD FROM A SPOON 12"! believe me, this is really awesome stuff! angry, powerful, with tight musicanship and lyrics that are worth to read as they´ve more to offer than most of the other bands in that field! especally than those from Sweden that have choosen war as their favorite topic! for the record: any band dealing with war in 9 songs out of 10 should be banned from rehearsing, playing live and most important from releasing anything in any format! a friend of me was visiting the big apple to see SHEER TERROR´s farwell show! he brought the demotapes of BLACK ARMY JACKET and FAULTER back with him and those two tapes blew me away! cause of their demo FAULTER have a song on the PAYOLL BENEFIT comp. 7"! later the same friend told me that FAULTER have a 7" out...this is it - chaotic, fast, desperate & crazy HARDCORE just as on their demotape!
the DEAD BEAT / NARSAAK split has 3 brutal HARDCORE tracks close to the edge of METAL and/or GRINDCORE from each band! as dzini the singer of NARSAAK is from BOSNA a part of his lyrics is in his mothertounge the rest of NARSAAK´s lyrics are in german! as DEAD BEAT have english lyrics you got 3 diffferent languages here! the 7" comes in a brilliant cover - the cover alone is worth buying the 7"!
out of all the straight edge bands of the late 80's, SIDE BY SIDE seems to be one of the most underrated. they're not as popular as GORILLA BISCUITS, as influential as YOUTH OF TODAY, or as musically advanced as BOLD, but nonetheless YOU`RE ONLY YOUNG ONCE is a powerful album and made get a MY LIFE TO LIVE tattoo over my belly! [no, I was never straight - more the opposite] 
IMPALED NAZARENE's UGRA KARMA album is HARDCORE-influenced blasting BLACK METAL! another winner in my book. did I already tell you that it´s got a beautyful cover? b.t.w. there is a version with a different cover around which you can see below!

IMPALED NAZARENE is one of the few BLACK METAL bands I really like! in spite of the facts that I've absolut no idea what the record's name TOL CORMPT NORZ NORZ NORZ does mean, that I've absolut no idea what their lyrics [not included] are about and that I'm not even sure what language they use! but I know for sure that this record is brilliant, brutal music!
there where many rumors about TUMULT and what assholes they are, but when I met them they where absolutly nice guys and I found none of the rumors to be true [same story as with HAMMERHEAD]! this are the songs from the split 7" with GOMORRHA and their own 7"! I left out the GOMORRHA tracks as they are on their cd with much better sound posted elsewhere on this blog! music-wise TUMULT were fast HARDCORE/POWER VIOLENCE with MOSHPARTS thrown in here and there and sometimes brilliant lyrics with a very dark sense of humor! a click on the split 7" cover will lead you to those tracks and the link down below will lead you to their 7" including the tracks from the split 7"!
