HC LIVES... BUT WHERE?

if you'd be out on a quest to find that out Sapporo wouldn't be the dumbest place to start your search thanks to SLANG. I've to admit that their HARDCORE LIVES 4 track 7" isn't exactly the best record they released so far but it's still already a raging record. the 4 tracks also include a nice cover of RIPCORD's SINGLE TICKET TO HELL. I really like SLANG but what I find a little bit annoying about them is that you'll find (a) song(s) that already appeared on (an)other release(s) before on nearly everything they put out. click the cover to download! password = mean.

CRUSHING MY DREAMS

just got the split 7" Nippon's SLANG share with MIND ERASER from the U.S. a short time ago but as I believe it to be sold out I thought I'd post it anyway. there are only 3 tracks on this 7" one from SLANG and 2 from MIND ERASER and none is a let down even though I don't think that the SLANG track is as good as anything on their THE IMMORTAL SOUL 12" (which you should buy as soon as possible if you haven't bought it yet!) it's a solid song no doubt about it. MIND ERASER's 2 tracks are better than the stuff on their last 12" - 2 sweet little ragers! the only thing I still dislike about them is that their vocalist is into that ridiculous Krishna bullshit which I find totally embarrassing read John Joseph's biography "Evolution Of A Cro-Magnon" and you'll agree most likely! luckily it doesn't come through in his lyrics. click the cover to d/l!

ATTACK OF THE HARDCORE LOW LIFES

Nippon's SLANG popped up on my radar when they released their incredible THE IMMORTAL SIN 12" in 2008 on SCHIZOPHRENIC RECORDS after they managed to fly below my radar for ages. but it seems as if they not only popped up on my radar but also on most other people's radars too cause after that 12" they all of a sudden not only did a bunch of splits with well-known bands like MIND ERASER and WORLD BURNS TO DEATH but even have a German re-release of THE IMMORTAL SIN announced... this 7" is the one they share with E.N.T. and even though E.N.T. are way better on their 2 tracks than I expected them to be they are no match for SLANG although their 2 tracks aren't as good as the tracks on the 12" neither. as the split was ltd. to 500 copies and sold out fast you should click the cover to d/l it and decide for yourself!

COINCIDENCE THEORY?

some days ago Mr. BLEND 77 the man behind the great ZEN AND THE ART OF FACE PUNCHING blog did a SWARM a.k.a. KNEE DEEP IN THE DEAD post and by a coincident I just scored this comp. for 2 bucks some days before and had it already ripped! besides the Canadians you get END 32 and SLANG from Indonesia and DEMON SYSTEM 13 from Sweden.unlike most other HARDCORE 7" comps. this one is among those that don't suck! nowadays there are quite some bands from South-East-Asia that release records on European or U.S. record labels and bands from here have toured over there but when this was released South-East-Asia was just famous for food and Silat and not really for it's HARDCORE-scene.
