SUPREME BRUTALITY

 

a compilation, actually 2 split 7"es, that features IRON LUNG, MIND ERASER, HATRED SURGE and SCAPEGOAT has to be good I guess but the BRUTAL SUPREMACY comp. is not just a good one it's a great one! IRON LUNG go first unleashing 3 tracks of the 2-men inferno they are known for which are all called BRUTAL SUPREMACY. MIND ERASER are next with 4 tracks of fucked up HC/POWER VIOLENCE that sound so mean enough to make up for the vocalist's affiliation with the Hare Krishna bullshit. then it's time for HATRED SURGE and their brand of punishing GRINDCORE. 3 new tracks that are all top notch! last but not least there are SCAPEGOAT which deliver 7 tracks of insane POWER VIOLENCE. totally pissed off and vicious tunes!

I made a new 320 k/Bits rip of IRON LUNG's DEMONSTRATIONS IN PRESSURE AND VOLUME 7" and uploaded it once again. this time a scan of the artwork is included in the folders together with certain young too. click on the cover!

B R O K E N . . .

I admit that the IRON LUNG / HATRED SURGE collaboration 7" has already been posted on more than one blog but as it's on pretty heavy rotation here for quite some time now I decided to post it anyway. 8 tracks that sound like the bastard son of, you guessed it, IRON LUNG and HATRED SURGE (big surprise, huh?).

STRICT LABORATORY METHODS

as promised to Justin of MUSTARD RELICS here's IRON LUNG's split 7" with SCURVY BASTARDS which are somehow strange bed-mates for IRON LUNG.as their track is mid-paced PUNK with a heavy leaning towards FOLK (or whatever one might call it). not really bad, actually I find their track quite amuseing I must admit, just not what I expected from a band that shares a split with IRON LUNG. speaking of IRON LUNG they deliver 3 tracks and none of them's a let-down. seems as they just can't do wrong -.every IRON LUNG release (I've heard so far) slays! and they've really great artwork on the cover and the label once again!

SILENT DECAY

as I thought it might be about time for some IRON LUNG once again you can download their split 7" with AGENTS OF ABHORRENCE which was released by Australia's MISSING LINK, is named SILENT DECAY and delivers you 5 new sick ragers from IRON LUNG and another 4 tracks from AGENTS OF ABHORRENCE. in my opinion IRON LUNG take the cake here cause AGENTS OF ABHORRENCE have the same problems here as they've had on their split with EXTORTION again: they've to battle against a band that is way ahead of them. they fought tooth and claw on that split 7"and here they do the same but in my ears they are no match for IRON LUNG as IRON LUNG are one of the sickest bands around now period! which is no wonder as one of them plays also in GEHENNA (which will release some new stuff soon b.t.w.) and GEHENNA just can't be beat! can't! came on grey vinyl!

RUDOLF RULES!

maybe you remember my post of the IRON LUNG / LORDS OF LIGHT split 7" that I posted cause when that split arrived in my den it was so wrapped that it wouldn't play properly and I had been told that the whole pressing was fucked up, bla bla (go back and read that post if you care). well, Marc a.k.a Batguano answered my call and sent me a rip of his (also wrapped) copy. 2 days later however I received an e-mail from Rudolf, the guy behind WURGAKKOORD one of the 2 labels that released the 7" telling me that the rumors about the whole pressing being fucked up aren't true and that he'd send me a non-fucked copy if I'd send him my postal address which I did.


weeks later another e-mail from Rudolf telling me he hasn't forgotten to send me the 7" he was just fucking busy. I took a look on his website, ordered some more records, sent him money via paypal and wrote him back that now I'd at least pay the postage for the 7". well, to make a long story short as I had overlooked some infos on his page I hadn`t sent enough money but as some stuff was sold out Rudolf told me that I had sent too much money and he'd send me some extra goodies cause of that and the delay! you can see the goodies (incl. DEVOID OF FAITH's 7" in a ltd. to 50 copies edition, on the pic below!

but the coolest thing he sent me is the IRON LUNG / LORDS OF LIGHT split 7" in an ultra ltd. edition cover that shows.... ME! thanks Rudolf!

oh, and the free download that was included in my copy of TRAP THEM's SEANCE PRIME 7" came with a PUNK AS FUCK "wallpaper" for computers in the archive! go get it below and score some PUNKpoints!

PARASITE

it's once again time for some SHANK! so here's the SHANK / MINUTE MANIFESTO split 7" that I actually didn't rip cause of the SHANK stuff as their 6 tracks all appear on their semi discography THE CURSE OF SHANK but cause of MINUTE MANIFESTO! they are another awesome band that somehow never drew much attention. they rip through 7 pissed off, raging tracks of their own and throw in a STUPIDS cover that also really slays as icing on the gravy! this was the 1st SHANK record I bought. I bought it at their show in Munich where they played with a band that was called HERNANDEZ if I remember correct. everybody seemed to like HERNANDEZ cause they "tried to do their own thing" which would translate to they used a keyboard but I found them boring especially as they played after SHANK! be prepared for the MINUTE MANIFESTO / URKO split 12" in the near future!

FUCKED UP IRON LORDS

I just recieved this split 7" a few says ago and it was so fucking wraped that I couldn't listen to the IRON LUNG side without weighting down the arm of my turntable! as the sound of both sides isn't brilliant cause of this I'd really appreciate if anybody could send a high quality rip of the 7" my way as IRON LUNG are again no disapointment and LORDS OF LIGHT aren't that different music-wise but not really as brilliant as IRON LUNG! but a good band nevertheless!

PRIMAL THERAPY

as the QUATTRO STAGIONI / IRON LUNG split 5" wasn´t tagged properly and just ripped with 128 k/Bits I re-upped it! this time with correct tags and in better quality! I really like what IRON LUNG have to offer musicwise but here I prefer the QUATTRO STAGIONI tracks!

IRON SHANK

two of the best bands when it comes down to what is called POWER VIOLENCE! the 2 piece from the U.S. called IRON LUNG and Glasgow's SHANK. on their split 12" they both rip through 17 songs (10 from IRON LUNG & 7 from SHANK) in 17 something minutes with a lyric sheet shaped like a coffin! I love IRON LUNG but they are no match for SHANK as SHANK are fiercer, angrier... they are one of those bands that make hate become music!

edit: I re-upped this one not only cause it was hosted on divshare but also cause I found this upload on the internet which has an untitled bonus track - can anybody tell me something about that track?

once again it's time for a post that features something from the 2 men killing machine called IRON LUNG on the blog. this time I picked their first 7", called DEMONSTRATIONS IN PRESSURE AND VOLUME that was released on 625 PRODUCTIONS in 2002. as you should be familiar with IRON LUNG through my previous posts about them I think I wrote enough! click the pic at the bottom to download. the password is mean.

2 vs. 2

Both bands are two-man outfits! LANA DAGALES are a bass-driven unit whose music is blazing and chaotic yet somehow never spins completely out of control. On the flip side is IRON LUNG, the current premier band out of reno, which is a far greater compliment that you might think! IRON LUNG is a guitar driven band and in spite of having released some of the absolute best available EPs over the last 2+ years, this is better than anything they've ever done. musically this is as monstrous and embittered as you could ask for.

LIFE - IRON LUNG - DEATH

IRON LUNG are a 2 men grind/noise band, I think from rehno but I´m not sure, that absolutly kills! vicious, mean and full of angst and hate! the LIFE - IRON LUNG - DEATH 12" is a true masterpiece! I´ve been told that one of the 2 was/is playing in GEHENNA and that would make sense!

this 7" has an x-ray pic as cover! no, not printed on the cover, the cover itself is an x-ray pic and the lyrics are printed on sheets of plastic [the kind you use in an overhead projectors]! BG is the follow up band to BURNED UP BLED DRY which released 2 great 7" themselves one of them being released on SLAP-A-HAM rec. so you should know what to expect as BG continue were BURNED UP BLED DRY stopped! if you´re into this kind of music you should be familiar with IRON LUNG as they have tons of releases [including split 12"es with SHANK & LANA DAGALES] out by now!
